Bookish girl

Welcome to my new blog bookish girl. I’m going to be blogging here about reading and writing, about books I love and books I’m reading. I’ll also be including snippets of book news, especially from Australia, and a weekly spiel on my favourite classics, starting with the Iliad. I will also be linking to or posting interviews I’ve done with writers, including Elizabeth Knox, Luke Davies and Les Murray.

The focus here will be on fiction but I’ll also be writing about non-fiction, especially books about economics and the environment (the subject of my next book), and books about science. And given I’m currently enrolled in a PhD in creative writing at the University of New South Wales, I’m sure that will also feature here in some way.

I look forward to seeing where this blog leads and to hearing your own bookish tales in response to mine.
